Why do you sell primarily to churches?

At Church Initiative, we equip Christian churches and select parachurch ministries to share God’s love and comfort to all who have experienced painful, life altering events, regardless of individual beliefs or backgrounds. To accomplish this mission in a way that we believe provides the most complete approach to healing, we have designed our content to be consistent with the truths outlined in Scripture and expressed in our Statement of Faith. While our resources are universally beneficial, it is important to recognize that the insights and perspectives we share are the product of a biblical worldview.

We believe local church sponsorship of our materials is important for many reasons.
  1. Our materials are designed as tools for pastors, church leaders, and lay people to further their church’s ministry.
  2. The materials are designed in a way that mandates the oversight of local church leadership. Group leaders of our programs must be chosen by the leadership of the sponsoring church. This assures the leaders are qualified and called by God to carry forth the church’s ministry. Unqualified leaders who are not chosen by a local church can do great damage to the people in their groups during a particularly vulnerable time of life.
  3. As our programs address sensitive personal issues, an ongoing support system is needed that a local church can provide. We encourage church leaders to supplement and help group facilitators guide their groups. Church leaders can also come alongside individual group members who have further physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual needs.
Our protocol is to build an ongoing supportive relationship with both church leaders, ministry partners, and volunteers who lead our programs.
Since Church Initiative’s mission is to equip churches with our resources, all our materials must be used within the context of local church ministry. Any use outside the sponsorship of a local church is not allowed, which includes use by private individuals, nonprofits, or any group not directly affiliated with and under the oversight of a local church. Any purchase of our resources is the property of the represented church and not the individual making the purchase; thereby the resources stay with the represented church.

We also offer many resources to individuals. Those can be viewed at cart.churchinitiative.org.
